What exactly is Lift Surfer?

Lift Surfer is a free ride sharing service connecting lift seekers with lift providers. This is not a carpooling site for sharing your miserable daily commute across suburbia. It is a site for the cross country adventurers! The aim is to share costs, make friends and save the environment!

Why do I have to use my facebook to login?

I didn't think you needed yet another site with its own username and password, so I decided to use facebook for authentication. If you don't have a facebook account, then tough titties.

How do I logout?

The service uses facebook for authentication. If you are logged into facebook, you are also logged into this service.

How do I remove myself from application?

In Facebook, select Applications >Edit Applications. Browse to "Lift Surfer" and click on the "X" to remove the application.

Why don't you have *insert random country or city* as a possible destination?

I don't know. I picked locations that I think are popular with the backpacker community and geographically large enough to warrant a service like this. Let me know if you think I should add a new location.

My trip details have vanished! What happened to it?

Trip details are removed a day or two after the travel date elapses.
